Importing contacts

Hints & tips: getting the most out of icomplete

One of the most popular areas within the icomplete service is ‘Contacts’ to store all your contact details. However you might be thinking ‘I’ve already got my contacts stored in xxxxxx and I don’t want to have to load them all up again in this new service”. The good news is – if you have your contacts stored in Outlook or V-cards you don’t have to enter them manually! Your contacts can be imported from Outlook or V-cards very easily. Simply follow these easy step-by-step instructions:

How to import existing contacts from Outlook:
o From your Outlook contacts, click on ‘File’, click on ‘Import and Export’. Select “Export to a file”.
o Make sure that “Comma Separated Values (DOS)” is highlighted (known as a .CSV file).
o Click on ‘Next’.
o Check the ‘export from’ folder highlighted is ‘Contacts’.
o Click ‘Next’.
o Select a place on your computer to save the file (using Browse) and give it a name.
o e.g. C: \users\Chelsea\documents\copy of chelsea contacts.CSV
o Click Next
o Check the confirmation screen.
o Click ‘Finish’.
o Then go to your icomplete contacts screen

o Click on ‘Import’ in top right hand side of window.
o Click on ‘Choose’ and you will be able to access any of your contacts

If you wish to put them into categories - simply go into the record and select tag - if you are unsure about this look at our hints and tips on tags.

Hi Shaun

Unfortunately you cannot auto integrate google contacts at this time - however it is something we are looking at offering in the future.
