‘Support Website for Salons Launches’ written by Sophia Cottier, 10 April 2008

A website offering an integrated business management solution for small salon and nail bar owners is launching in May. The website, icomplete.com, features PA services, telecoms and applications, and aims to solve common problems experienced by small businesses, including poor reception support, inefficient use of client records and short notice cancellations.Claire Hibbert, founder of icomplete.com, said that having owned a small salon she had seen first-hand the problems that micro-businesses faced. She said: €œI wanted to create something that actually helps people to grow their businesses, save them money and upgrade their image.€
The package features an on-line diary management service, a virtual receptionist, SMS/email reminder services and VoIP and automated messaging. The package can be customised to suit the individual needs of the business.
While the integrated system is not a new phenomenon in the spa and salon industries, Hibbert said that there was no system designed specifically for small business owners. €œThis industry is still lagging behind and needs a helping hand €“ we believe cost and complex technology were the barriers until now,€ she said. €œWith the icomplete.com package there is no start-up fee and no lengthy contract, although there is a monthly fee of £25.€

She added: €œInstead of concentrating on the day-to-day issues of running the salon, owners are free to look at growing the business and moving it forward.€
