Each of us started out in business following a "eureka moment" - but as our businesses grew we ended up being pulled in many different directions and most of them weren't the reasons we got started in the first place. Sounds familiar? We were working all hours just trying to keep our heads above water and didn't have the time, money, resources or interest to solve all of them. That's just the way business seemed to be done, then.
But deep down, we knew there had to be a better way, one that would genuinely help business people to make the most of their businesses. And so icomplete.com was born.
Myles already had a successful technical sales career in the UK and his native New Zealand behind him when he helped Stuart Hibbert set up X200, selling an innovative electronic e-billing service which has since been adopted by many of the UK's local government offices. The company was successfully sold in 2004 though Myles continued working with them until 2007, when he reunited with Stuart to launch icomplete.com.
Claire left a career in the video games industry to launch her own beauty salon in the late nineties. It was while managing her small business that she had the "eureka moment" that would lead to icomplete.com, and the concept of a fully integrated, complete business management solution. She co-launched icomplete.com with her husband, Stuart, in May 2007.
Stuart left a successful career in computer games development to move into online publishing in the mid-nineties when he co-founded Network Innovations to develop web presences for the likes of Microsoft and Condé Nast. Later, with innovative contract publisher TPD he developed award-winning interactive agency Fusion Interactive, which provided services for the BBC, Compaq, European Commission, Fidelity Investments, Gateway and Sony, Microsoft and Oracle.
In 2000, he helped Wishstream establish Europe's first e-billing application service provider, before starting X200 in 2002 to provide citizen account solutions to local government. The company was acquired by Gandlake in 2004 though Stuart remained until 2006, helping it to become the market leader.
His wife Claire's experiences of running a small business convinced him of the need for a more integrated approach to business management and in spring 2007 he co-founded icomplete.com.
